Month two was certainly an eventful one!  Johan is getting better at being left on his play mat or napper for longer periods of time without being held, and is starting to smile at us when we sing to him or entertain him in other ways.  At the start of the month, Johan enjoyed the opportunity to FaceTime with his Grandpa Phil before Grandpa Phil passed away on June 26th.  He finally got to meet his Savta Fran in person and is enjoying her extended stay in the DC area.  He is thankful that his daddy was able to take two months leave from work to spend time with him, but is admittedly sad that there will be fewer mornings together watching Let’s Make a Deal and The Price is Right starting next week.  Johan experienced his first standstill DC traffic jam but was a trooper despite the circumstances.  Finally, the month ended with the arrival of Johan’s first cousin this morning.  He looks forward to growing up in the same metropolitan area as his cousin and getting to know her once it is safe to do so.
