We’re learning how to be parents and would be learning regardless of whether there was a pandemic or not, so in some respects, our lives may not be all that different than if things were “normal.”  In other respects, they are clearly different.  For example, Oren took Johan to his one month pediatrician appointment without Allison, as only one parent is allowed to accompany their child right now.  And we wish that deciding whether and how to have Johan’s grandparents hold him wasn’t such a process or big decision.  In the completely unheard of category, Oren is getting more sleep as a father of a newborn than he did before Johan was born, and Allison is pretty sure Oren is the only new father who can make that claim.
