During services, Allison and Oren will each be called to the Torah for an aliyah.
A “two-table potluck lunch” will follow. There will be one table for food that is all vegetarian, and another table is for food that is also all vegetarian, AND carries a hechsher (kosher certification), OR is made of only hechshered ingredients and cooked in a kitchen that uses only hechshered products. This ensures that everyone can eat, and that everyone can bring something (unless your travel logistics preclude bringing something, in which case you should still come and eat anyway).
Saturday Afternoon & Early Evening
There are no scheduled activities during the afternoon on Saturday. Hang out with family and friends or spend some time exploring the city Allison and Oren call home. For dinner, there are many types of cuisines at multiple price points all around downtown Silver Spring and in Washington itself.

Join Allison for Havdalah, a dessert carnival, and to celebrate with her before the big day! Feel free to bring a musical instrument to play and a photo or a story to share.
Allison and Oren will be following the custom of limiting their contact with each other during the days before the wedding, and will not be seeing each other from the time lunch ends on Saturday afternoon until the wedding on Sunday. Oren will be spending the evening with his wedding party and close family, but looks forward to spending time with you throughout the rest of the weekend.
